"I live and work in Limousin, on the edge of the Plateau de Millevaches.

Here, you can enjoy the beauty of the countryside in a natural setting that's still relatively unspoilt, despite the disastrous impact of man on the ecosystems of the moors and forests.

I sometimes go walking in the Cantal region, on the summer pastures around the Puy Mary Massif.

My work is born of this encounter with nature.

I work from the impressions of bits of trees or stones, using Indian ink, walnut stain or natural pigments, sometimes in the forest or in my studio.

These pressures of natural elements have left traces that resemble writing.

Observing the outside offers a key to reading the inside. I explore this interior pictorially.

I extend the inner, intimate expression of this living natural world, guided by soundscapes.

I reinvent the automatic writing of vegetality.

I paint on various types of paper: thick, thin, recycled, handmade...

I like the idea of transcribing matter onto matter. "HB

 

Born in Tulle in 1979, Héloïse lives and works in Haute-Vienne (87).

She studied at the School of Applied Arts in La Souterraine, then at the National School of Decorative Arts in Limoges.

Her pictorial work and her desire to pursue an artistic path are the result of a long and intense personal journey:

A form of resilience, following the trauma of an accident, but also the desire to devote herself to her children."
