Small-format works created from direct impressions of fragments of wood or stone.

The imprint, made with ink, is then enhanced with brushwork, ink and watercolour. The original material thus becomes an ephemeral matrix, each impression revealing a unique trace.

Each work is unique: the matrix changes, deteriorates and gradually disappears through the process of making successive impressions.
